Hokum proves modern folk horror can still genuinely scare the hell out of you\. Adam Scott is brilliant as his character slowly unravels. Creepy folklore, relentless atmosphere, unsettling mystery and some surprisingly effective jump scares. Tense, disturbing and memorable.

The storyline was really intriguing. It’s a really good addition to your watchlist if you haven’t seen it.

I don’t get scared of movies. Haven’t since like 93 when I first watched the OG nightmare on elm street. This movie was genuinely eerie. Super creepy, great story, shot beautifully and dramatic build ups. Now the monster was goofy looking. But the reveal of it made sense. Still looked goofy
